Several years ago the United States, as well as most of the world, was experiencing a decrease in the availability and increased cost of crude oil. Attention focused on utilizing alternate forms of energy, but there was a gap between developing these new technologies and how to get them to market. With that in mind, Green Collar Machines, LLC was formed.
 

Green Collar Machines, LLC is a New York State Corporation formed in September 2009 to develop and transfer technology that will reduce the demands for oil and increase the generation and production of alternate forms of energy. To meet these challenges, Green Collar Machines has the ability to assist in the establishment of new businesses, identify financial funding resources, developing and transferring new technologies, and providing business support in the areas of business planning, marketing, research, and government relations.

For several years the principals of GCM were providing business consulting services to both domestic and international firms focusing on business establishment, development, market research, and financial and funding resources. In the fall of 2009, one of the early opportunities for transferring green technologies was with a Canadian tractor company that is developing a commercial electric lawn tractor that will operate on a new electric drive motor. Green Collar Machines has been working with them on market opportunities, U.S. assembly and distribution of this product, and the possibility of developing other green machines and equipment that would employ the new electric drive motor. Because of the efficiencies and compactness of the electric drive electric motor, its application reduces the need for fossil fuels and is more energy efficient.

Based on this early experience in alternate energy, Green Collar Machines, LLC decided to focus on alternative energies by providing consulting services to new and expanding green businesses, market and financial research, grant application assistance, and limited assembly capability. The professionals at Green Collar Machines have a combined total of 35 years in the business development field and have successfully helped 100’s of companies establish or expand a commercial, industrial and / or research business.
